Dunlap was a member of the women’s track and cross-country at Alfred. In track, she earned All-American honors in 1987 for her eighth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles in the NCAA Division III National Championships. She was the seventh-place finisher in the 55-meter hurdles at the 1987 Division III Indoor National finals. She also garnered All-American status in the 100-meter hurdles
