Joe Renwick lettered was a member of the track and football teams at Alfred University before graduating in 1963.
Renwick, who earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at AU, lettered three years in football and two years in track.
A quarterback on the Saxon football team from 1959-62, Renwick led the team in scoring in 1961 and 1962. He lists as his most memorable experience in AU athletics as being on the team that gave legendary Alfred football coach Alex Yunevich’s his 100th victory, a 12-8 win over Brockport State in 1962.
Renwick was also a member of the Saxons’ undefeated 1960-61 track team.
A native of St. Marys, PA, Renwick, 59, held various management positions in the carbon and graphite industries in the St. Marys and Punxsutawney, PA, areas. He served as president of NAC Carbon Products Inc. of Punxsutawney. He has served on the Punxsutawney Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for three years.
Renwick and his wife, Arlene, live in Punxsutawney and are the parents of five grown children.
