Daniel Landrigan was a four-year midfielder on the men’s lacrosse team at AU, who participated in three NCAA tournament appearances (1992, 1993, 1994) and helped the Saxons win one ECAC Championship in 1995. During his senior campaign, he led AU to a 13-4 overall record as a captain while earning USILA All-America Honorable Mention recognition and a spot on the EAA/ICAC All-Conference First Team. Following that season, Landrigan was selected to the prestigious USILA North-South All-Star game.

Landrigan came to AU at the height of the lacrosse program’s most successful years in 1992. During his tenure, the Saxons posted a 50-14 overall record, touting a .781 winning percentage. In his senior season the Saxons dominated the ECAC Upstate New York Tournament, crushing Oswego 15-5 in the semifinal and Union 18-7 in the finals. Landrigan scored 32 goals on 107 shots and dished out five assists for a total of 37 points in that year. Over four years, he amassed 46 goals and 14 assists for a total of 60 points.

Landrigan’s biggest thrill while playing at AU was coming within one goal of defeating the then-powerhouse, Hobart College during the 1993 season.

Since departing AU, Landrigan earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix while serving as a father of three. He has maintained his participation in the sport of lacrosse, acting as a youth coach in Canandaigua, NY. He has also operated as the President of the Canandaigua Lacrosse Booster Club, the President of the Canandaigua Sports Club and has organized fundraisers and tournaments to benefit local programs.

Landrigan’s sons, Zach and Kyle, are currently members of the AU men’s lacrosse program.
