Charles was selected twice to the First Team Little All-America team. Shultz was named at end in 1955 and 1956. member of two undefeated teams during the pre-platoon era. Brilliant pass receiver and standout on defense. Came out fo Turtle Creek High School in Pennsylvania. Drafted by the Baltimore Colts, but did not accept the contract.
