Brady played four seasons for the football team (2002-05) establishing himself as one of the greatest linebackers ever to suit up for the Saxons.

Recruited as a running back, Brady was a backup tailback his freshman season of 2002 before moving to the defensive side of the ball as a sophomore in 2003. He would finish his career with 285 tackles, which ranks 10th all-time at AU. His career totals included 34 ½ tackles for loss, 16 sacks, five interceptions, seven forced fumbles.

Brady was a two-time All-American, earning First Team AFCA and Third Team Associated Press recognition in 2005 and D3football.com honorable mention in 2004. He was a three-time First Team Empire 8 Conference All-Star (2003-05), earning league Player of the Year honors in 2004. He was also a three-time ECAC Northwest First Team honoree (2003-05), taking home ECAC Northwest Player of the Year accolades in 2004. His teams earned ECAC Northeast Bowl Championships in 2004 and 2005.
