LEXINGTON, KY – Alfred University's Taylor Malone (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region III Honorable Mention Team on November 15.
 
Malone was one of five Empire 8 women's volleyball athletes to earn recognition.
 
Malone helped lead Alfred to its first Empire 8 Championship in program history this season. An All-Empire 8 first team selection, Malone has 363 kills, 215 digs and 25 service aces this season. She is second in the E8 in both kills per set (4.06) and points per set (4.44). She also was named to the 2023 Empire 8 Championship All-Tournament Team and has recorded at least 10 kills in a match 21 times this season to go along with 11 double-doubles. Malone was a two-time E8 Player of the Week in 2023 as well as a four-time Saxon of the Week.
 
Malone is now No. 3 all-time in AU's record books for kills in a single season as well as points in a season. Her 3.95 kills per set has moved her to No. 2 all-time in AU history.
