ROCHESTER, NY – The 2025 season came to a close for the No. 8 Alfred University women's volleyball in the first round of the Empire 8 Championship at No. 1 St. John Fisher University, 3-0, on Saturday.

Carleigh Santavy (Commerce, MI/Walled Lake Northern) led the way with 8.0 points on seven kills and two block assists. Delaney Sims (Bogart, GA/George Walton Academy) registered 6.5 points on four kills and two blocks while racking up 17 assists and seven digs. Whitney Kilton (Pearl City, HI/Pearl City) and Cara Bratthauar (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg Area) each finished with 4.5 points. Bratthauar also added three block assists to her stat line. The team was led in aces by Meeghan Peterson (Amherst, NY/Williamsville South) with three and Taylor Malone (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) with two.
