ALFRED, NY – The first Alfred Cup event is set for Friday, August 29 at 7:00pm as the Saxon men's soccer team will travel to meet the Pioneer squad in Pioneer Stadium.
 
The Alfred Cup competitions offer more than good fun rivalries, they're a powerful opportunity to unite the Alfred, NY community and to make a meaningful impact. Both athletic departments will lead community involvement and civic engagement initiatives at each Alfred Cup home event through the launching of the Community Outreach Program.
 
Fans, community members, alumni and the campus community can get involved in a number of programs.
 
Supporting Local Organizations
At each contest cash and/or pantry stable food donations will be collected. The proceeds and donated goods from these efforts will benefit two local organizations, reinforcing our shared commitment to service and camaraderie.
 
Donations during the 2025-26 will go to these community organizations:

• Alfred Area Food Pantry (nonperishable food donations)
• Alfred Almond Community Sports Association (cash donations)

 
Fan Participation
At each contest, AU & ASC faculty, staff and alumni can sign up to win a grand prize. This is an attendance-based competition. Participants may submit one entry for each contest they attend, with each additional event attended increasing their chances of winning. The grand prize drawing will take place at the end of the school year.
 
AU & ASC Swag
At each contest AU & ASC will have merchandise for sale and/or give away.

• Wednesday, September 10 – Women's Soccer Hosted by Alfred University – 7:30pm – Yunevich Stadium
• Saturday, October 11 – Women's Volleyball Hosted by Alfred State – 4:00pm – Orvis Gymnasium
• Saturday, November 8 – Football Hosted by Alfred State – 1:00pm – Pioneer Stadium
