KANSAS CITY, MO – The United Soccer Coaches of America released its 2024-25 College Team Academic Award, recognizing the Alfred University women's soccer team for the eighth straight season.

The Saxons posted a 3.52 team GPA during both the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters to earn Team Academic honors. Alfred University has received recognition from the United Soccer Coaches of America on 14 occasions, dating back to 2009.

"It's great to have our team recognized for the Team Academic award again," Head Coach Craig Yanni said. "It truly shows the work this team puts in not only on the field but also in the classroom! Each year the team continues to show what it means to be a student-athlete! The coaching staff is very proud of the team's accomplishment!"

A total of 697 teams (283 men and 414 women's teams) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 academic year.

For a team to be considered for the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, it must have a composite team grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for all team members who appear on the official NCAA roster forms for the fall season.
