GREENWOOD, IN -- The Alfred University Women's Swimming & Diving had four members recognized for their diligent work in the classroom by earning College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-District Honors.
Anna Muscatiello (Glenville, NY/Scotia-Glenville),
Eden Vallely (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster),
Ruby Kavanagh (Queens, NY/LaGuardia High School of Music & Art), and
Gaia McCune (Pittsburgh, PA/Moon Area) were the four Saxons to be distinguished with the honor.
"I'm incredibly proud of ths group for their outstanding academic achievements," Head Coach
Brian Striker '00 said. "They epitomize what we strive to achieve as a program: success in both the classroom and pool through balancing and prioritizing the many facets of their life. This honor reflects hard work, discipline, and commitment to getting the most out of their experience at Alfred University."
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
