ALFRED, NY – Alfred University's Abby Wilson (Greece, NY/Odyssey Academy) was named the Empire 8 Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as made official in an announcement by Associate Commissioner, Joe Venniro on Monday.
 
Wilson scored her first collegiate goal during her two-year career and added one more for good measure in a 2-2 tie with Utica University. Both of her goals came from her only two shot attempts of the game as she scored the game's first goal and last goal to keep the Saxons in a four-game lossless streak.
 
Wilson also earned Saxon of the Week on Monday. She was joined by Joe Copp (Minoa, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa) as the Empire 8 Football Defensive Player of the Week as well as the other Saxon of the Week.
