ITHACA, NY – The Alfred University women's swimming team ended the dual-meet portion of its 2022-23 schedule with a 248-42 loss at Ithaca College on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Saxons' first strong showing was with Kamila Roman (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamroneck) as she claimed second place in the 50-yard butterfly, clocking in a time of 27.81, edging the Bombers' second best time of 27.89. She then went on to earn third place in the 100-fly with a time of 1:03.69, just over half a second away from second place.
 
Ivy Vallely (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) followed with a third place time of 5:21.25 in the 400-yard individual medley.
 
The Saxons will next turn towards their taper season before the Empire 8 Championships at Webster Aquatics Center, starting February 15.
