ALFRED, NY – Graduate athlete of the Alfred University women's swimming & diving team,
Victoria Cramp (Hornell, NY/Hornell) broke her own school record on Friday to earn Empire 8 Women's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week, as made official in an announcement by Associate Commissioner,
Joe Venniro on Monday afternoon.
Cramp broke her own diving school record for the 1-meter, six dives as she scored 228.90 on Friday evening in a win against Pitt-Bradford. She won both diving events as she also scored 227.90 from the 3-meter board. Cramp capped off her evening by joining
Dani Checa (Mexico City, Mexico/Interlochen Arts Academy), Macie Francisco (Vestal, NY/Vestal) and
Mia Spencer (Omaha, NE/Omaha Central) for the second fastest time in the 200-yard freestyle, combining for a 2:10.28.
Cramp and the Saxons will next travel to University of Rochester for a tri-meet with the hosts and Fredonia on Saturday, November 13 at noon.
