ALFRED, NY -- First-year goalkeeper, Hannah Fuller (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks) of the Alfred University women's soccer team was named the Empire 8 Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday as made official in a statement from Associate Commissioner, Joe Venniro.

Fuller continued her streak of shutouts as she faced 11 shots against a tough Brockport team to force a 0-0 tie. Between the tie against Brockport and the 5-0 shutout win against Hilbert, Fuller is now up to only one goal allowed in her six games that she has appeared in. She is currently on a streak of 357:78 of not allowing a goal in.

She was also named a Saxon of the Week along with football's Nick Milgate (Hilton, NY/Hilton) on Monday. Fuller and the Saxons will next host Nazareth College in their Empire 8-opener on Saturday, September 21 at 6 p.m.
