ALFRED, NY -- First year Amanda Roberts (Amherst, NY/Amherst) has earned her first collegiate recognition from the Empire 8 Athletic Conference as the Offensive Player of the Week in women's soccer.

Roberts played a key part in the Saxons' continued success and undefeated streak. She added two more goals this weekend with one against Medaille and one against Bard College, but her big outing was against Hilbert College with one goal and two assists on Tuesday evening. Her goal was her first of her collegiate career and it was off a penalty kick. Roberts continues to have a hand in one or more goals in every matchup this season, tallying points in all four. She added eight points to her season this past week and only had one shot that was not on goal.

The Saxons will next take on the Lakers of Oswego State on Tuesday, September 13 for a 7:00 pm start.
