ALFRED, NY—Junior midfielder, Richard Lander (Narrowsburg, NY/Sullivan West) has been named the Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in three games last week.
 
Lander scored a goal in each of Alfred University's three games last week and led them to a 2-1 record, topping Waynesburg University 5-0 on Saturday and Penn College 4-0 on Sunday.  He also pitched in with an assist against Penn College in Sunday evening's game.
 
Lander and the Saxons (2-1-0, E8 0-0-0) return to action Wednesday September 9^th to take on the Hilbert Hawks at 7pm.
