ALFRED, NY — Mariana Crevison (Scottsville, NY/Wheatland-Chili), a sophomore forward on the Alfred University women's soccer team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
                
Crevison was honored for her play in the Saxons' lone game last week, a 7-1 non-league victory over visiting SUNY Canton on Saturday. In that game, Crevison scored three goals on three shots to help lead Alfred to its first victory of the season. In three games this year, Crevison has four goals, tops on the team.
                
AU (1-1-1) is in action next on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. at Penn College.
