Box Score ALFRED, NY- The Alfred University women's basketball team dropped an 84-79 decision to visiting Utica College, Friday evening. This loss puts AU at 6-16 (1-10 Empire 8) on the season.
AU went into halftime ahead 41-39, fueled by perfect shooting from the field (four-of-four) and beyond the arc (two-for-two) by senior guard

The Lady Saxons built an 11-point lead (73-62) with 7:34 left in the game when junior guard
Harley Cleary (Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) made a layup.
Mary Miceli hit three back-to-back three-pointers and a layup, helping the Pioneers capture a 77-75 lead, off a 15-2 run, with 4:24 remaining in regulation. Utica did not look back and held onto the lead as time expired.
Stedman finished with a team-best 18 points. Cleary scored 15 points, dished out five assists, and had three steals. Junior forward

Sarah Federico (Buffalo, NY/Holy Angels) pulled down five rebounds.
