Flaitz was the first Saxon of 2024 to record a multi-goal game as she helped the Saxons open the new season with a 7-0 win over visiting Hilbert College, making it the most goals scored in a home-opener for the Saxons since 2014’s 7-1 win over SUNY Canton and the largest margin of victory for a home-opener in over 20 years. Both of Flaitz’s shots on goal found the back of the net, and both times were from distance. The first was off a short, corner kick pass from Sidney Khuns with Flaitz firing the ball into the group of players just five yards inside of the sideline. The shot deflected off the hip of a Hilbert defender and into the net. Minutes later, Flaitz scored the final goal of the game when she one-touched a throw-in from Kali Meyer, setting herself up for an extremely narrow shot from 16 yards out, finding the far top corner of the net. She nearly netted a third but her shot just went too far right.
