ALFRED, NY—Sophomore distance runner Mary Baughman (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) has been named the Alfred University Female Athlete of the Week following her ECAC-qualifying performance at the RIT indoor track and field invitational meet.
 
Baughman posted a time of 18:34.09 in the 5,000 meter race Saturday, finishing 18 seconds ahead of the next competitor. 
 
The indoor track and field team returns to action this Saturday, Jan. 24, when they travel to Brockport.
