ALFRED, NY-- Freshman linebacker A.J. Licata (Lake View, NY/Frontier) has been named the AU Male Athlete of the Week for his performance against Salisbury that lead to a 23-21 victory.

Licata was a key player throughout the game against the Sea Gulls with six tackles (two for a loss) and two forced fumbles.  He also disrupted a pitch attempt by Salisbury that lead to a fumble on part of the Seagulls prior to the Saxons' game-winning drive.

The Saxons (5-3 Empire 8 3-3) look to keep their winning streak going when they travel to Utica to take on the Pioneers in the Saturday, Nov. 8th 6PM Empire 8 showdown.
