BRISTOL, NY – The Alfred University men's and women's alpine skiing team wrapped up their weekend on the slopes of Bristol Mountain on Sunday. The men took home a 14th place finish while the women finished 13th.
Kevin Voegelin (Allegany, NY, Allegany-Limestone) posted the top time for the Saxons on both Saturday's giant slalom and Sunday's slalom, recording a combined time 1:14.30 and 1:09.27, respectively. On Saturday, Garrett Farabaugh (Abington, PA, Abington Senior) finished second, clocking in at 1:18.47. Vinci Armas (Winter Garden, FL, Horizon) registered in at 1:25.62 on Saturday and 1:47.41 on Sunday.
On the women's side, Zoe Rainville (Saranac, NY, Saranac) was the lone competitor for AU but was unable to complete her race.
Alfred University will head next to the West Mountain slopes for the giant slalom on Saturday, February 7 and the slalom race on Sunday, February 8.
