ALFRED, NY – Alfred University's Landon Berry (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan Academy) was named one of the Empire 8 Men's Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Berry opened his collegiate scoring account in a big week against SUNY Geneseo and Keuka College with the first three goals of his career. Berry got the scoring started against the Knights on Wednesday with a low near-post shot finding the twine. In Saturday's win over the Wolves, he once again opened the scoring just 15 minutes into the match and added on with an insurance goal in the 71st minute. His three goals in the week led all Saxon scorers, and ended with five shots, three of them on target.

Berry was joined in the Empire 8 Weekly Honors by Gillian Dickerson (Frisco, TX/Wakeland) as the Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week and Elizabeth Share (Macedon, NY/Palmyra-Macedon) as the Women's Swimmer of the Week. Berry was also named a Saxon of the Week on Monday alongside women's tennis's Alyssa Seegert (Oroville, CA/Las Plumas).
