PITTSFORD, NY – Two members of the Alfred University women's track and field team competed at the Cardinal Last Chance Meet hosted by St. John Fisher University on Sunday.
Meridian Bremel (Reading, VT/Woodstock Union) broke the school record in the discus throw. She threw for a personal best of 36.44m (119'-7") to finish eighth in the event.
Annabelle Townsend (Woodsville, NH/Woodsville) ran in the 400-meter hurdles. She placed second in her heat and eighth overall on a personal best time of 1:08.63.
The Saxons prepare for the All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Conference Championship, which is set to take place at Williams College on May 14-15.
