ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University men's basketball team will travel to face No. 4 SUNY Poly on Saturday, February 22 at 2:00 PM for the first round of the Empire 8 Championship Tournament.

The Saxons finished the regular season with a 14-11 overall record, including a 10-6 record within Empire 8 conference. Alfred University won each of their final three games against Brockport, Geneseo and Houghton to be named as the No. 5 seed in the Empire 8 Championship Tournament. This marks the fourth consecutive year in which the Saxons have qualified for the Empire 8 postseason, which is the longest streak for the program since joining the conference.
