ALFRED, NY - Kevin Matson (Chenango Bridge, NY/Chenango Forks) of the Alfred University men's lacrosse team received Empire 8 Co-Player of the Week honors, as announced on Monday by associate commissioner Joe Venniro. 

Matson led Alfred to wins over Concordia University and Nichols College, tallying 13 points on seven goals and six assists. Against Concordia, Matson finished with nine points on four goals and five assists to go along with six ground balls and one caused turnover. Against Nichols, Matson totaled three goals to go with an assist in the 6-5 win. He finished the game with a game-high six shots on goal for the Saxons.

Matson and the Saxons will next travel to face Oswego State on Saturday, March 16 at 3:00 PM.
