ALFRED, NY - Hunter Cupp (Bath, NY/Haverling) of the Alfred University men's lacrosse team was selected as a 2026 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American, as announced on Wednesday. The senior was recognized as an Honorable Mention for the Saxons, becoming the first player in program history since the 2023 season to earn All-American honors.   

"This is a great honor to be selected to play in the senior All-Star Game," Head Coach Jason Lockner said. "Hunter is well deserving of this and has the stats to back it up. He was a force at the face of X and a big reason for our success."

Cupp wrapped up a historic collegiate career with Alfred University, having captured six program records including career ground balls (626) and face-off wins (959). Cupp additionally finished the 2026 season second in the nation for Division III in ground balls per game and face-off winning percentage. Cupp received All-Empire 8 Second Team honors for his efforts with the Saxons this past spring. 

Cupp will next participate in the USILA North/South Senior All-Star Game as a member of the North Team. The contest is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 22 at 4:00 PM at Randolph Macon College in Virginia.
