ALFRED, NY -- Alfred University's Men's Swimming and Diving team commanded the McLane Natatorium with a 189-70 win over Hobart College Friday night.
"Tonight we had an opportunity to mix up our lineup a little bit and it seemed like the guys were having fun with it," head coach
Brian Striker '00 said. "Along with the impressive swims, we had some great results on the diving boards. I know I said it last week, but everybody looks pretty good for being this early on in our season."
Those great diving results came from
Jaxson McQuaid (Norwalk, CT/Norwalk) and
Ryan Way (Penfield, NY/Penfield). McQuaid swept both diving events with personal-bests 245.35 in the 1-Meter dive and 228.40 in the 3-Meter dive. Way was right behind his teammate in the 1-Meter dive, wrapping up a 190.15.
