ALFRED, NY – Alfred University's Christian Moon (Syracuse, NY/East Syracuse Minoa) was named the Empire 8 Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
 
Moon now has recorded a game-winning goal in each of his four seasons of play as he added one for his senior year at Utica University. As the Saxons and Pioneers went into halftime with an empty scoreboard, the Saxons struck first in the 47^th minute with Moon scoring an unassisted goal less than a minute later, making it 2-0. Utica responded with an unassisted goal just under two minutes later. Moon would go on to be credited with the game-winning goal at the conclusion of the game, but to make sure he got it, he scored his second of the game in the 65^th minute before the Saxons tacked on a fourth goal in the 77^th minute of play. All three of Moon's shots were on goal in his 78 minutes of play. He was named a Saxon of the Week for his efforts.
 
Moon was also named a Saxon of the Week on Monday along with hunt seat equestrian's Ally Dann (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park).
