Holly Passetti (Nichols, NY/Tioga Central) earned her first Empire 8 Weekly Award as she was named the Women's Track Athlete of the Week on Monday in an official announcement by Associate Commissioner,
Joe Venniro.

Passetti got back into the steeplechase as she competed in the event for the first time this season on Saturday at the SUNY Geneseo It's Gonna Be May Meet. She came into the meet with a previous personal best time of 12:55.18 and crushed that time with a 12:23.14 to take second place, topping two Nazareth athletes and one A-State runner. Passetti now has the fastest time in the Empire 8 in the event.

Passetti and the Saxons will next head to St. John Fisher College for the Empire 8 Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday of this week. She was joined by
Justin Mosher (Hilton, NY/Hilton) of men's lacrosse and
Allison O'Toole (Simi Valley, CA/Simi Valley) of softball as both were Players of the Week in their respective sports on Monday.
