ROCHESTER, NY – The Alfred University men's track & field team finished its 2021 spring season on the second day of the All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Championships hosted by St. John Fisher College on Thursday.
 
The team finished 31^st of the 32 teams that scored points between the two days of the championships.
 
The 4x800-meter relay team of Kyle Jenkins (Marcellus, NY/West Genesee), Chris Mayo (Wolcott, NY/North Rose-Wolcott), Kyle Full (Akron, NY/Akron) and Rashid Abuelmaali (Latham, NY/Shaker) were the only Saxons competing in the championships and scored the team points on Thursday. They combined to run a time of 8:35.30 for sixth place.
 
"When we look back at the season, with all of the adversity that our Saxons faced, we as coaches are very proud of how they approached the challenges put forth in front of them and how they handled it." Head Coach Dr. Angie Taylor said. "We have a team that is building depth and we cannot wait to see what the 2021-22 season has in store for us."
