PITTSFORD, NY – Three members of the Alfred University men's track and field team earned personal bests during the Cardinal Last Chance Meet hosted by St. John Fisher University on Sunday.
Neil Peters (The Bronx, NY/DeWitt Clinton) earned third in two events for the Saxons. He registered a personal best of 6.69m (21'-11.5") in the long jump. Peters also ran in the prelims of the 100-meter dash, where he qualified for the final on a third-place finish at 11.08. He finished with the same result, .01 seconds behind his prelim time with 11:09 in the final.
Jonathan Hodges (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West) added a fourth third place finish for Alfred University in the 400-meter dash. He crossed the finish line on a personal best time of 49.45.
Finnegan Dean (Potsdam, NY/Potsdam Central) ran in the 800-meter run. He notched sixth on a personal best time of 1:57.97.
The Saxons prepare for the All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Conference Championship, which is set to take place at Williams College on May 14-15.
