ALFRED, NY – Six out of the 62 student-athletes from the Empire 8 on the 2026 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region list were Alfred University Saxons on Friday.
 
Two individuals and one relay team finished in the Top-8 of Niagara Region for the Saxons. Zion Baitey (Morristown, NJ/Morristown) finished fourth in the region in triple jump with a distance of 14.51m (47'-7.25"). Sekou Camara (Conakry, Guinea/ICSA) tied for fourth place in the high jump with a clearance of 1.96m (6'-5").
 
The record-breaking 4x400-meter relay team finished seventh in the region. Riley Ciamarra (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas), Finnegan Dean (Potsdam, NY/Potsdam Central), Jonathan Hodges (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West) and Zach Schultz (Middleport, NY/Royalton-Hartland) combined for a time of 3:18.49.

"It's been such an exciting season filled with earning spots on the podium, setting new school records and winning championship titles! They have worked tremendously hard and that dedication has certainly paid off. I could not be happier to have the opportunity to work with them each and every day."
