NEW ORLEANS, LA – Zion Baitey (Morristown, NJ/Morristown) of the Alfred University men's track & field team was named a 2026 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III All-Academic Athlete.
 
Baitey not only had to have a GPA of 3.50 or higher, but also needed to finish in the Top-50 in the nation in an event. He finished tied for 31^st in the triple jump with a mark of 14.51m (47'-7.25") alongside Tufts University's Luke Benson.
 
Both the men's team and women's track & field team at Alfred University earned 2026 USTFCCCA NCAA Division III All-Academic Team honors. To qualify as a team for the All-Academic award, the team must have a 3.10 or above GPA.
 
On the women's side, between both indoor and outdoor track & field rosters, the Saxons had 17 Empire 8 President's Lists honorees (3.75 GPA or higher), 22 Dean's List (3.50 or higher) and 25 Saxon Scholars (3.20 or higher) with two 4.00's and over 80% of their rosters having about a 3.00 GPA for the Spring semester.
 
On the men's side, the Saxons had seven E8 President's List, 14 Dean's List and 21 Saxon Scholars with two 4.00's between both indoor and outdoor rosters. The indoor roster had over 60% of their roster finish with a 3.00 or higher and over 75% finish the same on the outdoor team.
