WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – The Alfred University men's track and field team concluded the 2024-25 season at the All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Conference Outdoor Championship (AARTFC) hosted by Williams College on Wednesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 15.
The Saxons' top finish at the meet was during the 4x400-meter dash. On the team were
Jonathan Hodges (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West), Neil Peters (The Bronx, NY/DeWitt Clinton), Finnegan Dean (Potsdam, NY/Potsdam Central) and Riley Ciamarra (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Penas). Alfred University placed ninth with a season best time of 3:21.06, missing out on All-Region by .06 seconds.
The Saxons also had another season best in the prelims of the 4x100-meter dash. Ciamarra and Peters joined
Khamani Hunter Sr (Poughkeepsie, NY/FDR) and Jayden Noel (Brooklyn, NY/Automotive) in the event, finishing 10th at 42.54.
Jason Crocker (Oreland, PA/Springfield Township) represented the men's team in throws, competing in his final collegiate event in the shot put. He registered a 13.95m (45'-9.25") on the third attempt to take 16
th overall.
Hunter set a personal best of 11.06 seconds to finish 27th overall during the prelims of the 100-meter dash.
"Both the men's relay teams took to the track in the finest weather day of the season," Assistant Coach
Bill Sortore said. "These conditions inspired both teams to the program's second best results of all time. The 4x100-meter relay missed the school record by .15 seconds, running 42.54. The 4x400-meter relay ran 3:21.06, missing the school record by .21 seconds.
Khamani Hunter Sr ran a personal best in the 100-meter dash on a time of 11.06 during the prelims."
