ALFRED, NY – The Empire 8 selected Scott Kimiecik (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) of the Alfred University men's lacrosse team as the E8 Men's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week as made official in an announcement by Associate Commissioner, Joe Venniro on Monday afternoon.
 
Junior Kimiecik recorded his fourth win a row as he made 11 saves and allowed only eight goals after facing a season-high 29 shots and 19 shots on goal from the Pioneers of Utica College. It was his second game of the year where he stopped more than 10 shots on goal as he still has not allowed double-digit goals in a single game. Kimiecik picked up a season-high three ground balls in the 12-8 Empire 8 win over Utica College.
 
Kimiecik was joined on Monday by the announcement of softball's Ashley Lugo (Hesperia, CA/Oak Hills) earning Player of the Week and Jessica Wilcox (Forestville, NY/Pine Valley) earning Pitcher of the Week, women's track & field's Ana Ion (Bucharest, Romania/Episcopal School of Jacksonville) earning Field Athlete of the Week and women's lacrosse's Brenna Turner (Bentonville, AR/Bentonville) earning Player of the Week.
