ALFRED, NY – Sophomore Justin Mosher (Hilton, NY/Hilton) was named a Co-Player of the Week for the Empire 8 Men's Lacrosse weekly awards as made official in a statement by Associate Commission, Joe Venniro on Monday afternoon.
 
Mosher flew past his career-high mark in goals and points as well as caused turnovers, ground balls, man-down goals and game-winning goals as the Saxons opened their season with a strong win over Elmira College. Mosher recorded seven goals and tacked on two assists for nine points as the eighth goal of the game was Mosher's to be labeled the game-winning goal. Mosher also scored one goal in a man-down situation. He also led the Saxons in caused turnovers with three.
 
He joined women's basketball's Grace Rittenhouse (Dansville, NY/Dansville) in Empire 8 honors as she was named the Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week on Monday. Mosher and the Saxons will next host Nazareth College on Wednesday, March 31 at 4:00pm in Yunevich Stadium.
