ALFRED, NY -- For the second time this season, Alfred University's Lauren Serotta (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) was selected to be the Empire 8 Women's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week as made official in an announcement by Associate Commissioner, Joe Venniro on Monday afternoon.

Junior Serotta led the Saxons in the three-day Ithaca College Bomber Invitational where she totaled 30 individual points and was part of the relay teams that scored a total of 154 points. Her top individual finish was a ninth place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.53 good enough for 20 points. She scored five points in both the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:12.62 and the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.75 as she finished 20^th in both events. She was part of the 200 medley, 200 freestyle and 400 medley relays that finished ninth for 40 points and a part of the 400 free relay that earned 10^th for 34 points.

Serotta and the Saxons will next head south for their annual Florida Training Trip. After that, they will head to Division II, Le Moyne College on Tuesday, January 14.
