Despite the Tigers of RIT taking multiple 1-2-3 finishes, the Saxons had one first place finish (outside of the 200-yard freestyle relay exhibition win) and two second place finishes on the day. "The first meet is typically a rough one, and we fought hard throughout and showed a great deal of enthusiasm," Head Coach
Brian Striker '00 said. "Despite the score, we had a lot of great races today, including a few that could have had a better outcome. We were a little sloppy at the walls and finishes – things we will be working on over the next two weeks. This is a young program; there is a great deal of potential for this team as we gain experience."
