BRADFORD, PA – The Alfred University women's swimming & diving team picked up its first dual meet victory of the season at University of Pittsburgh at Bradford on Friday evening, 82-37.
Lauren Serotta (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) was the first Saxon to pick up a win on the evening (despite both 200-yard medley relay teams taking first and second, unopposed) as she swam a 2:12.47 in the 200-yard freestyle.
Caitlin Behr (Beach Haven, NJ/Southern Regional) and
Olivia Morea (Jackson, MI/Gilford) went one-two in the 50-free with times of 28.11 and 28.28, respectively. The duo then had a repeat performance in the 100-yard freestyle with times of 1:01.11 and 1:05.63, respectively taking the gold and silver in the event.
The rest of the Saxon swimmers in the remaining events swam as exhibition participants as they faced a small Panther roster.
The Saxons will next head back to Lebohner Pool in Alfred, NY to host William Smith College in a women's dual meet on Saturday, November 2 at 1PM.
