ONEONTA, NY – The Alfred University men's swimming & diving team fell to Hartwick College, 169.5-128.5 on Saturday afternoon in its final away dual meet of the season.

The Saxons were led by
Noah Koltenuk (Danville, PA/Danville Area) with his first place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10.12.40 and his first place tie in the 500-yard freestyle with a 4:52.05. He also took second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:04.61, just .13 off of winning the event.

On the diving boards,
Christopher Deaver (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) won both with a 1-meter score of 290.10 and a 3-meter score of 302.00, just 14.16 off of the school record.
Gabriel Smith (Campbell, NY/Campbell-Savona) followed with a 219.05 score on the 1-meter and a 188.25 on the tall board.

Alec Toth (Lockport, NY/Starpoint) finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.11) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:05.33),
Andy Edmister (Belmont, NY/Genesee Valley Central) took second in the 100-yard backstroke (55.05) and the 200 back (2:02.50) and while
Joseph Lawrence (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) earned second in both the 100-yard freestyle (49.94) and butterfly (52.56).

Richard Berger (New Paltz, NY/New Paltz) finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.38.

The Saxons will next host Ithaca College for their Saxon-for-Saxon contest on Saturday, January 27 at 1PM in the Lebohner Pool.
