ALFRED, NY -- The Alfred University men's lacrosse team was honored once more with junior attack, Jake Lynch (Whitney Point, NY/Whitney Point), being tabbed as the Empire 8 Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Lynch led the Saxons on the week in points with 11 from six assists and five goals. He recorded seven of his points against Shenandoah University from four assists and three goals. He had two goals and two assists in the Saxons' win over The College at Wooster on the final day of Alfred University's spring break training for four points. In both contests, Lynch managed to capitalize on a man-up advantage. He also recovered two ground balls in each event and caused one turnover on Saturday's win against Wooster.

The Saxons (3-2) will next host Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday, March 18 at 1:00 pm at Yunevich Stadium.
