GENEVA, NY – The Alfred University women's swimming & diving team (0-3, 0-0 Empire 8) fell 143-95 on the road against William Smith in Bristol Pool.

Sophomore
Victoria Cramp (Hornell, NY/Hornell) paced the Saxons, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. She took home first in the 1-meter after posting a score of 187.00. She continued her dominant performance by setting a new personal-best in the 3-meter dive with a score of 213.00 points. Her previous PR was 194.60 (set against Le Moyne on 1.18.17).

Three first-year students earned second place finishes in individual events on Saturday.
Gina Artieri (Lockport, NY/Lockport) earned silver in the 1,000-meter freestyle with a time of 11:57.37, shaving over nine seconds off her previous personal-best (12:06.68).
Lauren Serotta (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) also set a new PR, posting a time of 2:10.90 in the 200-freestyle. Her previous best was timed against RIT (2:18.42).
Zeruviah Adams (Wellsville, NY/Wellsville) rounded out the second-place finishes for first-years with a time of 2:28.35 in the individual medley.

Kristin Brown (Olean, NY/Olean) placed second in the 50 free (27.14) where she was followed by fellow seniors
Elizabeth Schiffhauer (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) and
Elizabeth Finney (Dryden, NY/Dryden) with times of 27.79 and 28.14, respectively.

AU hits the pool again on Friday November 10, when it hosts Pitt-Bradford in Lebohner Pool at 6 PM.
