ROCHESTER, NY – The Alfred University women's swimming and diving team fell at Nazareth College, 166-64 on Friday evening.
First-year
Lauren Serotta (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) won the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:10.78. Senior
Megan Steen (Portsmouth, RI/Portsmouth) followed with a 1:14.39. First-year
Gina Artieri (Lockport, NY/Lockport) took first in the 800-meter freestyle with a time of 10:20.25.
The 200 medley relay team of Serotta,
Olivia Piazza (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads),
Zeruviah Adams (Wellsville, NY/Wellsville) and
Kristin Brown (Olean, NY/Olean) finished second in 2:12.53.
Brown also took second in the 50 free with a 29.01 and in the 100 free with a 1:05.17. Sophomore
Victoria Cramp (Hornell, NY/Hornell) claimed second in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 190.3 and again on the 3-meter board with a 186.25 finish.
The Saxons will next head to Geneva, NY to face William Smith College on Saturday, November 4 at 1 pm.
