Coach Striker's Alumni Event Speech
ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's swimming and diving team fell to Empire 8 foe, Hartwick College on Saturday afternoon, 72-207 in Lebohner Pool.

The Saxons were led by junior
Megan Steen (Portsmouth, RI/Portsmouth) who earned second place finishes in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:06.79 and the 200 back with a finish of 2:22.81. She also finished third in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:31.77.

First year
Victoria Cramp (Hornell, NY/Hornell) picked up uncontested wins on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. She broke her personal best on the 1-meter board by .15 points with a 180.45. Her previous best was set on Friday evening on the road at Utica College. She also broke her personal best on the high board with a new mark of 164.65.

Saturday's meet was also Alfred's alumni day as the stands were filled with past Saxons, followed by a recognition dinner in the Joyce and Walton Family Center for Health and Wellness.

The Saxons will next travel to Ithaca College for their last away dual meet of the 2016-17 season on Saturday, January 21 at 1:00 pm.
