Meet Results

BROCKPORT, NY – The Alfred University men's indoor track and field team competed at the College at Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational meet on Saturday, Feb. 20. There were no team scores.
 
Five Saxons turned in top-10 performances, with junior Jeffrey Nunez (Wurstboro, NY/Ellenville) leading the way with a third-place finish in the weight throw (15.88 meters).
 
Sophomore Anders Presthus (Lansing, NY/Lansing) was fourth in the shot put (14.16 meters); senior Ethan Foster (Bolivar, NY/Bolivar-Richburg) was fifth in the 500-meter dash (1:07.63); senior Ian Bishop (Bronx, NY/Bronxville Prep) was seventh in the shot put (13.91 meters); and freshman Zac Mapes (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) was ninth in the triple jump (12.33 meters).
 
Alfred is in action next on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26 and 27, at the New York State championships at Ithaca College.
