ROCHESTER, NY – The Alfred University women's swimming and diving team fell to Rochester Institute of Technology, 71-215 on Saturday afternoon at Judson Pool on the road.

The only Saxon (2-4) wins were from RIT exhibition races in the 200 Individual Medley with
Samantha Brown (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) coming in first with a time of 2:27.89 and the 400 Freestyle Relay. The relay team of
Kristin Brown (Olean, NY/Olean),
Samantha Brown,
Faith Lanfear (Port Crane, NY/Chenango Valley) and
Megan Steen (Portsmouth, RI/Portsmouth) finished with a time of 4:00.81.

Samantha Brown picked up a second place finish in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:27.39 as the top scorer for Alfred University outside of exhibition.

Lanfear earned a third place finish in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:11.24 and the 500 Freestyle with a finish of 5:50.49.

The Saxons will next compete at the Ithaca College Invitational. The event is a three-day invitational that begins on Friday, December 2 and ends on Sunday, December 4.
