ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's swimming and diving team split an AU-hosted tri-meet with Rochester and Fredonia on Saturday.
The Saxons (2-3 dual meet record) beat Fredonia, 148-142, but fell to Rochester, 228-64. Senior

Samantha Brown (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport), junior
Kristin Brown (Olean, NY/Olean) won individual events for AU, with Brown and Steen each winning three.
Steen won against Fredonia in the 100 back (1:06.11; fourth overall), the 200 back (2:23.39; third overall) and 200 IM (2:29.00; third overall). Brown won against Fredonia in the 100 butterfly (1:06.07; third overall), the100 freestyle (58.53; fourth overall) and 200 butterfly (2:26.77; second overall).
Lanfear won the 1,000 free vs. Fredonia (11:58.34; second overall), and
Kristin Brown won the 50 free against Fredonia (26.81; second overall).
