Junior
Dylan Staniszewski (Oakton, VA/Oakton) won two events to lead the AU women. She took the 500 freestyle (5:26.72) and 200 free (1:58.39). Senior
Kelsey McRill (Solon, OH/Solon) also earned a win for AU, taking the 50 free in 26.01 seconds.
The Saxons swept the two relay events. Sophomore
Megan Steen (Portsmouth, RI/Portsmouth), McRill, sophomore
Elizabeth Schiffhauer (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) and Staniszewski won the 200 medley relay (2:01.37). Juniors
Samantha Brown (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) and
Faith Lanfear (Port Crane, NY/Chenango Valley), freshman
Olivia Piazza (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) and junior
Leah Zimmerman (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) took the 200 free relay (1:49.86).
Brown was second in the 200 individual medley (2:26.24) and 100 fly (1:06.41); Schiffhauer was second in the 100 free (59.57); and Steen was second in the 100 back (1:07.54).
AU is in action next on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m. at home against Pitt-Bradford.
