Meet Results

ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's swimming and diving team fell to visiting RIT Saturday, 146-105, in the Saxons' home-opening meet.
 
Senior Kelsey McRill (Solon, OH/Solon), in the 50 free, and junior Dylan Staniszewski (Oakton, VA.Oakton) in the 100 free, were Alfred's individual event winners. McRill won in 26.04 seconds while Staniszewski won in 55.90 seconds. Staniszewski also took second in the 200 free (1:59.47).
 
Junior Samantha Brown (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) was second in the 100 butterfly (1:07.11).
 
McRill, junior Leah Zimmerman (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua), freshman Olivia Piazza (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) and Staniszewski won the 200 free relay in 1:47.18.
 
The AU women (0-2) are in action next on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. at William Smith.
